The Hearth Women’s Circle: Softening the Armor
Sunday, September 13 | Soul & Soma
At our first Hearth Gathering, we explored nourishment, the mother wound, and our capacity to receive. This month, we will carry that conversation forward by gently noticing what happens inside us when care is actually offered.
For many women, receiving does not immediately feel comforting. It may bring guilt, discomfort, vulnerability, mistrust, or the feeling that we must quickly give something back. We may long to be supported while another part of us insists, “I can handle it myself.”
These responses are not personal failures. They may be protective patterns formed when our needs were dismissed, inconsistently met, or made to feel like too much.
During this gathering, we will explore:
The protective parts that make it difficult to receive
Why rest, care, and support can sometimes feel unsafe
The difference between receiving and feeling indebted
What we do when our needs begin to surface
How to accept care without explaining, performing, or immediately giving back
Through guided reflection, journaling, shared witnessing, and a gentle receiving practice, we will begin identifying the armor that once protected us—and explore whether we are ready to soften it, one piece at a time.
You do not need to have attended the first gathering to join us. You are welcome to share, listen, or simply be present. We will close with a restorative sound bath and optional Reiki, allowing each woman to practice receiving in the way that feels safest for her.
This is a trauma-informed community gathering, not group therapy. Confidentiality, choice, and respect for each woman’s boundaries will be honored.
RSVP & Donations
Space is limited, and advance registration is required. Your donation serves as your RSVP and reserves your place in the circle.
